When we know better, we can do better. The ACT Study and other similar studies clearly show that the number one focus to maximize growth and achievement for MS/HS readers is routine practice with grade-level, complex texts. This workshop will walk participants through the research and theory, and provide real-time practice with the strategies used to support students in grade-level text. This learning complements WI Act 20 literacy initiatives and will inform your team on how this can be implemented at the secondary level. Our facilitator, Adam Broten, is a current Wisconsin educator and a National Consultant. He has worked with numerous districts, leaders, and educators across the country to facilitate this learning.
