WiTALL was once a legacy affiliate for the National Organization of ASCD before it merged with ISTE in January 2023. This transformation is part of a broader shift following the merger of ASCD and ISTE, two leading organizations in education. As a result, ASCD affiliates, including our own, are evolving into program partnerships to better align with this new national structure.

Wisconsin ASCD, founded in 1948, was known and respected for its high -quality programs and services that support research-based, results-driven teaching and learning. Wisconsin ASCD was the professional development organization for education leaders interested in developing their careers.

While our name and branding changed, our core mission remains the same—to support educators with high-quality professional learning, resources, and a strong community of peers. WiTALL continues our commitment to supervision, curriculum development, and a focus of the Whole Child. All of it is deeply rooted in our non-profit WASCD organization of the past, as we "keep the fire burning," as the torch-bearer for Wisconsin. When you join, you aren't just a member; you are part of the flame that keeps Wisconsin's educational standards high.
